As soon as the hackers hacked the Evernote Forum site, the company sent a mail to all its users to change the password of the user accounts. The company officials said that, We donot store your passwords in our online disscussion forums servers and you do not need to change it.
How Evernote Forum Site Login works?
Ever since 2011, the Evernote forum is been established by the company, the forum uses a SSO authentication model for the login. The Evernote password is taken as a token and is sent to the third party server which authenticates its login. The Third party server never sees or never stores the password token at its end. It is interesting to know that 1 week earlier a denial of service attack was made at the Forum website. The company took 32 hours to resolve the issue. Currently there are more than 10 million users who are using Evernote.
