All the devices on which you are online are under threat of being hacked or users using these devices are not aware of the fact that who are on other-side of the internet connection, it may be your friends you wish to talk to or a cyber criminal that is sitting there to steal all your person data.

There are number of software's/applications that are present online that can provide you with the security solutions to be always safe from such cyber criminals. But, still there are some things that you will have to promise you will follow in upcoming year to be safe from any kind of attack.

You are the one that click on the links present online for downloading unknown softwares and then when any antivirus aware you from upcoming threat, you are the one to click on ignore button. Do you know that even a single wrong click on unknown links can provide all your secret information to the attackers.

So, if you have installed a antivirus on your device and now you think that you are secured from any kind of attack than you are wrong! Because there are some of the things that you will have to promise in 2015 so as to be protected any kind of attack.

Cyber Security Promises to be made in 2015

  • Learn to use a strong password for all the personal accounts online. Use special characters, non-dictionary words, mixture of uppercase and lower case alphabets, numeric etc. So, to be safe create a strong password. And also keep changing the password on some regular basis.
  • You must promise to be very careful about using public WiFi and prevent it as much as you can. As it can be a very big mistake to use public WiFi connection. You should also promise to watch this video for knowing more about this threat.
  • You must also promise to update your system when ever a new update is available.
  • You must also promise to keep a backup of your data and also check if these backups work properly, because if you loose your data than you will not loose it for ever or will not have to pay for getting it back.
  • You must also promise not to click on unknown links that are present online. Also don't download pirated content as they carry RATS in it which can harm your system.
  • You must be also aware of phishing pages. You must search about Phishing pages and learn how to differentiate between simple pages and phishing pages.
  • You must also promise to install any known antivirus on your systems and update it whenever any updates are available.

These all things are to be promised and given focus so as to protect your essential information.
