$250,000 Daily Fine, NSA threatened Yahoo If it is not sharing users infoThe news just broke out that NSA threatened Yahoo for $250,000 per day fine if they didn't shared their users information with them. Yahoo! just explained that why it had to handle its users data to US federal officials.

Previously it was just the former employee off NSA, Edward Snowden who was famous for revealing the secrets of NSA, but this time this news just out burst from Yahoo, one of the most popular internet company in the world.

Yahoo was said to be threatened to pay massive fine of $250,000 per day if they were unable to comply with the national security Agency's PRISM surveillance program. This was in-accordance to an unclassified court document that was released this Thursday by Yahoo!

"The released documents underscore how we had to fight every step of the way to challenge the US Government's surveillance efforts," Ron Bell, the company's general counsel said on the Yahoo's Tumblr page. "At one point, the US Government threatened the imposition of $250,000 in fines per day if we refused to comply."

Question Hot in the Air

There's a big question which is been asked after this news out-burst, that if Yahoo has been declining to accept the NSA's terms, then other major companies like Google, Microsoft & the other companies, are they accepting these terms or not?

As this is a question of millions of users personal information, so surely it must be made clear that does this question really has a positive or negative answer. As, this is very important for all of us to know.

It was in 2007, last when US government had put forward a law, asking personal user information from the online service providing companies.

This new document by Yahoo! has surely spread light on the secret program PRIM that was previously claimed to be leaked from agencies by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden.

PRISM had intercepted about more then 98.9 million users data including companies like Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Skype etc.

Ron Bell also stated on Yahoo tumblr page, "We refused to comply with what we viewed as unconstitutional and overboard surveillance and challenged the US government's authority."

So, next thing to know is that what action does Yahoo! takes next.
